Selena Gomez - an international actor and singer - has become a household name. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects that she has been a part of and achieved the greatest success, is her project. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. Selena Gomez, born Grand Prairie, Texas on July 22nd the 22nd of July, 1992. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was just 16 at the time Selena was born. When she was just 9 years old Selena made her debut in the showbiz industry as she portrayed Gianna in Barney and her Friends. Through this, she joined the ranks of kids who've had the opportunity to interact with the anthromorphic dinosaur that has become so famous in the history. Selena was involved in several episodes in season 7 and 8 between 2001 and2003. Selena wasn't the only actor to appear on Barney and His Friends during this period. Demi Loveto also worked on the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for various shows and movies after the end of Barney and Friends. She was not successful. The role she was offered was a minor one in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) and a different one as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. Additionally, in 2006 she was Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. She played the role and wrote a song.
